This section contains an overview of venues with special reference to accessibility. When planning to attend a particular event, what should a person with special needs take into consideration? How do you avoid obstacles during the journey? Does the venue have level access? Does it have disabled toilets? Are there any special facilities for the deaf and the blind? These are just a few of the questions that these pages will try to answer.

To allow easier navigation, we are providing separate entries for all participating towns, municipalities and administrative districts. So should you wish to go and see something in Bochum and need to find out details about a particular venue, just click on "Bochum" in the list below. By the way: Some RUHR.2010 events can be reached by a special transport and escort service, which the Lions Club Relief Organization "Social Dimension" is offering for disabled people.
