One of the attractions of the Cultural Metropolis Ruhr is its great variety of tourist sights, which are certainly second to none. Whether it be museums, industrial monuments or castles and palaces – this region has plenty of destinations for spontaneous family outings. But what if we get to the destination of our choice and – for whatever reason – require barrier-free access? Are there any tips for a trouble-free arrival ? Does it have disabled toilets? Are there any special facilities for the deaf and the blind? Will they perhaps be offering personal assistance provided by voluntary workers? These are just a few of the questions that these pages will try to answer.

To allow easier navigation the participating towns and municipalities have been listed separately in this section, too. So if you would like to get more information about e.g. all the activities in Bottrop please take a look at the list below and hit the button "Bottrop". A detailed list of sights in Bottrop will appear.
